My early work is based on the ocean and fairy tales. Mermaids are my focal point within my work, and I bring awareness to what is happening to our oceans globally. I also use the ocean as a language of how my life is or what is going on. This Self-Portrait demonstrates how the ocean is my focal point and how the ocean is a part of my surroundings.
